Grab your deck of cards and ask a spector to select a card.
Explain to your spectator that this incredible little car has a button underneath that when triggered, sounds off its siren & lights. This little car has incredible abilities and can locate the card they have chosen.
Spread a deck of cards accross a table. The magi takes this incredible little car and has it roll/ travel over some of the cards. The car does nothing. No siren, no lights are triggered, therefore, it has not located the selected card. Now, a few more cards are rolled over and suddenly the siren & lights are triggered.
This incredible little cop car has now narrowed it down to four suspects in the pack! Again, the car is rolled over the four cards, however, the siren is now triggered by only one of the cards. When the car is placed on that single card the siren continously whales! When the card is turned over you identify the spectators chosen card!
Other ideas:
You can show that the other three cards were of the same numbers. Like the four Kings for example.
