A Martin Lewis classic (how many magicians first learned of Martin Lewis, in fact) has been streamlined for an even greater impact, with three phases and an incredible surprise climax.
The magician displays three blank jumbo-sized (4.5" by 7") cards along with an Ace.
One of the blank cards is placed aside and a "three card monte" is performed with the remaining two blank cards and the Ace. The spectators can never find the Ace, but no wonder...the magician reveals that all three of the cards in his hands are blank and it was the Ace that was placed aside! This is repeated once more and on the third time when the spectators are asked to guess where the Ace is they'll of course say that it's on the table...but now the card on the table is shown to be blank, and the three cards in the magician's hands are all shown to be Aces!
Only the same four cards are used throughout-no ditching, etc.

EFFECT: Two spectators, Ginny and Dave, are asked to help with an experiment involving two decks of cards, one red-backed and one blue. Both decks are shuffled, and each spectator takes one. The spectators themselves each deal 12 cards face down from their respective decks. The rest of the cards are placed aside. No extra or additional cards are used. The red cards are openly and deliberately fanned so that Ginny can see all of the faces, and she is asked to merely think of one card. The fan is closed and tabled, and Ginny places her hand on top of this red packet. The packet of blue cards is then spread once more to show it only contains blue-backed cards, and Dave places his hand on this blue packet. Ginny concentrates on her mental selection. She then removes her hand from the red pile and she counts her cards face down and there are now only 11! Dave likewise counts the cards in his blue pile. He finds that there are now 13 and one of them has a red back! The 11 red cards are then turned face up and all are fanned in front of Ginny. She is asked whether her mental selection is still there, and she finds it has vanished. Finally, the red card in the middle of the blue packet is removed and shown to be Ginnyís mental selection! Simon Aronson created Red See Passover in the 1970's and published it in his first book The Card Ideas of Simon Aronson (1978). It received rave reviews from the critics and from those magicians who saw it performed. Despite such acclaim, very few magicians ever performed it because it was almost impossible to obtain the necessary gaffed cards. One of the few magicians who did perform it early on was Michael Close, who said this effect helped build his reputation when he performed it at conventions. Over the ensuing years, the effect achieved somewhat of an underground cult status. When Simonís book was reprinted as part of his hardbound collection, Bound to Please, more magicians learned of the effect and tried to obtain the necessary custom-made cards, often at considerable expense. Now, you are provided with a professional set of the necessary gaffed cards, printed by United States Playing Card Company on Bicycle card stock. The instructions have been completely rewritten and updated by Simon, and include touches and tips he has added since the original publication over 20 years ago.

EFFECT: The spectator simply names any card that they like. The magician removes a deck of cards, and claims he will make the named selection vanish from the deck. Spreading out the deck, however all of the cards are seen to be missing the faces. Offering to try to make their card come back, one of the blank-faced cards is very cleanly shown and placed under a spectator's hand. When they lift their hand and turn over the card, they are amazed to see it is their named selection!
