You start by taking out a deck of cards from the box and as you are shuffling them you say that you are going to do something that is really strange, but more importantly, that you will do it very slowly. You have someone select a card, they sign it and it gets lost back into the deck.
The deck is given to your spectator to shuffle, as you state that the card is going to vanish from the deck and appear inside the card box which is shown empty and placed on the table or given to another spectator to hold.
You have the person with the cards hold onto them real tight and before they know it – boom – it’s gone! The spectator checks through the deck and the signed card has completely vanished!
You point to the card case the other spectator is holding – it’s empty. But…you point out the back of the card case looks the same as the back of a card. Now for the freakiest thing ever, slowly you start peeling the printed back design from the box! It leaves behind a white surface and you turn over the surface that you have torn away – all attention is focused on this strange object that IS the SIGNED selected card!

The special Forgery gimmick allows you to perform many different, stunning effects, including these three:
1) A spectator pics a card (no force). It is returned to the deck and the magician finds a card that is not the spectator's. This card is signed by the spectator. The magician then simply and stunningly transforms the signed card into the spectator's selection - with the spectator's initials on it!
2) A card passes between two others and magically turns over. This looks like like card warp - but is much stronger. The cards are not folded, and the effect is very, very visual.
3) A card is selcted and placed on the table and then an alternative card is signed. Then the signature magically jumps to the tabled card.

Created over a decade ago, the Riser Deck has long been one of magic’s best kept secrets. Previously shared with only a handful of fellow professionals, Mark Elsdon has finally decided to release his show-stopping effect to the general magic community.
At the climax of an ambitious card routine, the performer offers to repeat the effect ‘one last time, under test conditions’. The deck is replaced in the case to prevent any possible manipulation by the performer, and the signed selection is held by the spectator. Read carefully now, this is exactly what happens: the spectator himself pushes his own signed card into the cased deck, anywhere he wants – in the middle, near the bottom, wherever. The deck and card can be fully shown face-up if desired as the spectator pushes his selection flush into the deck. The case is closed and given a little shake. The case is re-opened and completely fairly the top card is removed – it is the signed selection!
The spectator can even remove the card himself if you choose, but with an effect this powerful, we’re sure that you’ll want to take the credit yourself!
Remember: only one card is pushed into the deck and it really is the signed selection, there is no switch. The spectator genuinely can push his selection into the deck anywhere he chooses. The selection and cased deck can be fully shown on all sides as the selection is pushed flush into the deck. When you re-open the case the selection really is on top! It looks absolutely impossible. Almost any conditions you can dream up, the Riser Deck meets them all.

On the back of a playing card, you use a magic marker to draw the card your spectator chose just a moment ago. Show him what you drew, and then determine this does not even remotely look like the chosen card. Don’t panic. When you shake the card, ever so carefully, the drawing changes very visually, until it corresponds 100% to the chosen card. A magical change! You hold the card merely with your fingertips, and you can show it on both sides! An effect not unlike "Wiregram", which will surely find its way in your card routines.
