A volunteer from the audience is handed a stack of cards which contains cards depicting each of the signs of the Zodiac as well as many different colors. The volunteer is asked to think of his astrological sign along with any color and then remove those cards from the stack. He hands the remaining cards to the magician.

The performer shows that the backs of all the cards are blank, except for the two the spectator freely chose, which are signed on the back and when put together create a special message!

Two sets of five cards are introduced. One set with red backs and one with blue backs. The performer hands the red set to his spectator and she is asked to imagine that she is holding a full set of five E.S.P. cards. The performer displays the faces of his cards to show that he too has a set of E.S.P. cards. Both the spectator & performer mix their cards and the performer hands a facedown card to his spectator. Now without looking at the faces, the spectator is asked to hand the performer any one of her facedown cards. The two cards are turned over and seen to be the same symbol! The magician flips the pack over and spreads the cards on the table to see which one is next to the credit card. Let's say the spectator's selection is the 8 of Clubs. An Amazing Journey Through Time, Revealing The Past, Present and Future

Docc Hilford's Cards of Cairo is a piece of apparent fortune telling that's very easy to do and completely baffles any audience. Here's the effect:

The faces of three over-sized cards are shown to the audience. You explain that everyone will now take a mystical journey from the past, through the present and into the future.

You go on to explain that the journey began in the past when you wrote three predictions about a spectator and sealed them under plastic to the backs of each card. A spectator chooses a face-up card and when the card is turned over it reads, "You Will Choose This Card First" and it even goes on to say something about the spectator's future. Of course, everyone thinks it's just a joke and that all the cards say the same thing. But, when the second card chosen is turned over it reads, "This Card Will Be Picked Second!" The final card's prediction prognosticates that it will be the last of the spectator's selections, three for three!
