The coin bag has been around for years, chances are you have one lurking at the bottom of a drawer somewhere. Craig first saw the coin bag about 13 years ago and having brought it he played with it for a little, then promptly forgot about it.
Fast forward several years to when Craig was booked to work at a trade show for a company that sells magic tricks to joke shops. They wanted Craig to show their customers how to demo the simple tricks they had for sale to their customers. Because of this Craig tried to develop exciting presentations for hundreds of cheap tricks. The prop that attracted Craig the most was a coin bag - after playing with it all week at the show he had developed a number of moves that made several new effects possible.

THE 'COLOUR BURN' EFFECT
A blue backed deck is removed from its case. The deck is spread and your spectators are asked to call out the names of some cards that they see. You then take the named cards and, one by one, begin to magically change their back colour from blue to red! Offering a better look at the technique you announce that you will change the back of another card...
...IN SLOW MOTION!
With a gentle wave of your hand, the card begins to visibly change. The card actually appears to change as you move your hand back and forth over it! You pause halfway - the card under your hand is half blue and half red! Slowly, you complete the colour change, visually changing the remainder of the blue card to red. The card is now fairly shown on both sides - it has completely changed to red!. But, you're not done...
With a snap of your fingers the entire deck instantly changes to red before their already disbelieving eyes. They pick their jaws up - you move onto your next miracle!
DAVID FORREST'S 'COLOUR BURN'
Colour Burn is a colour changing deck routine unlike any other. The effect plays exactly as described above and includes a stunning 'slow visual' moment where the back colour of a card is seen to change visually as you wave your hand over it. This amazing visual transformation is accomplished via a devilish gimmick, the details of which are fully explained in the DVD and the special cards you need to achieve 'Colour Burn' are included inside the box!
The gimmick has a multitude of uses. You can CHANGE ONE CARD INTO ANOTHER or even PRINT THE FACE OF A CARD! Once you understand the gimmick a world of opportunity will reveal itself but, as a special bonus, a second effect is included on the DVD:
BONUS EFFECT: 'PRINT RUN'
A spectator is invited to select a card which is then lost back into the deck. You remove a card from your pocket which you allow your spectators to examine thoroughly - it is completely blank on both sides. You take back the card and ask your spectator to concentrate on their selection. Slowly and visually you begin to print the face of the blank card to match the selected card. Piece by piece, the image of the selection materialises on the previously examined blank card as you rub your fingers over it! You then display the back of the card - the back has printed too - the card can then be handed out for examination.

This effect is a classic of coin magic and when you see it you will know why!
Three previously examined coins are used: a Two Pound Coin, an old-type English Penny and a Chinese coin. The Penny and Chinese coin are placed in the right hand and the Two Pound Coin in the left. Without any suspicious moves the coins are shown to have transposed, the Two Pound Coin appearing in the right hand and the Penny and Chinese coin in the left.
The Penny is then placed in the pocket, but it instantly returns to the hand, while the Two Pound Coin vanishes from the hand and appears in the pocket. The Chinese coin is placed in the pocket, the Penny in the left hand and the Two Pound Coin in the right. Seconds later the Two Pound Coin is seen resting in the left hand while the Penny is in the right hand.
This is repeated once again but this time the Chinese coin appears next to the Penny in the right hand. The Two Pound Coin is then placed in the right hand and the Penny and Chinese coin in the left. Both hands are closed and instantly opened to reveal the Two Pound Coin in the left hand and the Penny and Chinese coin in the right.
This is repeated twice more and then the coins are handed out once again to be examined.

The envelopes are opened and remembered. The cards are passed down and then reshuffled before being handed back to the magician. An audience member is chosen to associate one of the cards with a seated participant and the seated participant is given the card. Invite a spectator to take your pulse. To ensure there is nothing restricting your pulse, allow them to check under your arms and examine your arms completely. They will agree there are no devices on you.
Ask them to find your pulse. When they have it, ask them to snap their fingers along with it... They will keep track of your pulse rate. Tell them no matter what happens to you, make sure they report ANY changes in your pulse rate.
