Introducing Alakazam Unlimited!
After years of planning and dedication, we're thrilled to announce the launch of Alakazam Unlimited! This project has been a labor of love, starting with the initial conception a few years back and gaining momentum when we set our plans into motion in early 2023.
The journey to Alakazam Unlimited wasn't without its challenges. Converting our extensive DVD collection into single trick and explanation videos was no small feat. Wayne Goodman took on this task with gusto, while I delved into researching the best methods to deliver this content to our audience. However, along the way, it seemed like my ambitious vision for the platform might be too far-fetched. But then, a serendipitous conversation in December 2023 changed everything.
During one of our weekly chats, Jamie Daws, a dear friend and renowned figure in the magic community, expressed interest in joining the Alakazam team full-time. Recognizing Jamie's exceptional talents in filming and editing, I knew he would be a perfect addition to our growing company. With our plans to release more products on the horizon, Jamie's expertise was exactly what we needed. And not to mention, his longstanding relationship with Alakazam made him an ideal fit.
In that conversation, I shared with Jamie my vision for Alakazam Unlimited, tasking him with spearheading this ambitious project. Jamie jumped at the opportunity, excited to sink his teeth into a challenge that would test his design and editing skills, not to mention his ability to master an entirely new platform. Within hours, he sent over a single image encapsulating his vision for Alakazam Unlimited, and it exceeded all our expectations.
For the next six weeks, Jamie poured his heart and soul into designing and programming Alakazam Unlimited. The result? A platform that surpassed anything we had imagined.
But what exactly is Alakazam Unlimited?
At its core, it's a repository of our extensive back catalogue. Over the years, Alakazam Magic has released DVDs featuring some of the biggest names in magic, including John Archer, Marc Spelmann, Michael Vincent, and The Jack, among others. With DVDs becoming obsolete, we feared losing this valuable content. Thus, Alakazam Unlimited was born, dedicated to preserving this magical legacy.
But Alakazam Unlimited is more than just a repository. It's a vibrant community, reflecting our ethos of fostering camaraderie and encouragement among magicians. To that end, we've incorporated a forum where members can connect, share ideas, ask questions, and receive support—a true haven for magic enthusiasts.
